Schools Liaison Officer

Introducing Jan Parker……

I currently work for Warrington Children’s Services in the School Improvement Department. My role as the PE consultant is wide and varied. As the strategic lead for the development of PE and school sport within Warrington I can be found doing activities as diverse as training Primary School children to lead lunchtime activities, working with secondary staff on implementing the new diploma on sport and leisure, contributing to various health agendas, delivering practical training to school staff as well as a myriad of other areas.

My role also involves the oversight of school swimming as delivered by Warrington swim Scheme and I am delighted to be offered this opportunity to act as the Schools Liaison Officer for Warrington of Warriors Swim Club. Together, we can ensure that every child in Warrington is able to learn to swim and has the opportunity to follow the pathways provided by Warrington of Warriors.

As part of Swim 21 Jan is here to support our Swimmers.

Sometimes as Parents it can be hard to try to explain our Swimmers commitment to their sport. Swimmers can need recognition from their school as to the workload they undertake and can need support to enable them to develop their time management skills so they can achieve not only as a swimmer but also socially & academically. Jan is willing to support any Parents with this liaison with schools.
