Great North Swim.

Mike Tujeshyn & Aisha Thornton, two of our swimmers, will be taking part in the Great North Swim on 13th September 2008 to raise money for the Tim Parry Jonathan Ball Foundation for Peace.

Both are talented long distance swimmers and have both competed at National Championships for several years. This will be their first open water race however, and will be in the water with Olympians such as Keri-Anne Payne, Cassie Pattern, Joanne Jackson, David Davies and Mark Foster.

Open water is becoming more popular and is now an Olympic event so it is good that our swimmers are at least giving it a go.
